Not a normal CBO episode – but this is an interview that Scott
did with Kevin Beimers, writer of Wailing Heights the point and
click adventure due out by Outsider Games (of which Scott is a
director) on 27th April 2016.  Enjoy!

This is Bags of Action. The podcast is devoted to action movies, both old and new, but all of them awesome! In this episode Steve and Pete talk about Wild Card from 2015 starring Jason Statham. This is the second in our Statham trilogy and this film turned out not to be what either host was expecting.

As well as discussing the film, the characters, and the many famous by big named authors, they also get into the history of the film,  and the people behind it. There are also a few interesting suggestions for future people to focus on in the future, one of which leaves Pete speechless.

Welcome to Grouchy Old Geeks, a monthly podcast that discusses everything and anything in geek news, from the Statler and Waldorf of British podcasts hosts. Previously GoG was called Comic Book Outsiders, and we’ve been podcasting for 9 years. We decided a rebrand and refresh was in order to reflect how the show has changed over the years.

This episode Steve and Scott start off with some TV, film and comic book news, then we revisit a favourite section, called Challenge Scott, but with a twist. For our main feature we discuss the Image comic, Saga, by Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples.

If you would like to get in touch with the show you can email us at grouchyoldgeeks@gmail.com, you can find our Facebook at www.grouchyoldgeeks.com or you can follow us on Twitter @SteveAryan and @ScottGrandison

Scott and Steve start the show with a huge announcement about the show.  New name, new network, but the same Grumpy Old Geeks.

After some more news they discuss ‘Tales from the Badlands’ the amazing cross-genre show from Amazon.

This is Bags of Action. The podcast is devoted to action movies, both old and new, but all of them awesome! In this episode Steve and Pete talk about The Mechanic from 2011 starring Jason Statham. As it turns out, neither of us knew, this film was a remake.

This film turned out to be not what either host was expecting. Both are fans of Statham and yet somehow this was their first time they’d done a film with him in the lead.

Pete shares some knowledge on the background of the film, its heritage, and its connection to Cannon films.

This is Bags of Action. The podcast is devoted to action movies, both old and new, but all of them awesome! In this episode Steve and Pete visit the cinema, at different times and in different cities, to see the film Creed. It was released in 2015 in the USA and early 2016 in the UK.

This is the latest film in the Rocky franchise, that seemed to have concluded with Rocky Balboa, but a young filmmaker called Ryan Coogler pitched and idea and it was eventually developed into this film.

Both Steve and Pete are big fans of the Rocky franchise and both were very happy with its apparent conclusion with Rocky Balboa. So will Creed be able to live up to the legacy? Will it be a complete reboot or does it pay respect to what has come before it?

Welcome to Comic Book Outsiders, a comic book podcast dedicated to bringing you the very best hidden gems from the worlds of comic books, films, TV and everything else.

This episode we start off with a rant from Scott and then try to keep it positive with some great news about forthcoming TV shows.

We also discuss board games and our recent experiences with games including Cash and Guns and the amazing BattleStar Galactica BSG board game, based on the new TV show from a few years ago.

For our main we get back to our roots and talk about some comics that we’ve recently been enjoying and somehow Steve ends up introducing Scott to a TV show that he’s never heard of before but is rendered speechless by the trailer.

Outsider Games (co-owned by Scott) is due to release their biggest game ever in just a couple of months time.  Scott’s here just briefly hijacking the CBO feed to tell you about the project, get you to check out the trailer, and vote on Steam Greenlight.  Normal service will be resumed soon.

Welcome to Comic Book Outsiders, a comic book podcast dedicated to bringing you the very best hidden gems from the worlds of comic books, films, TV and everything else.

Scott and Steve dedicate almost the entire episode to talking about the recently released Star Wars: The Force Awakens. There are LOTS OF SPOILERS! We give several warnings as well during the episode, so do not listen to this episode just yet, unless you don’t mind lots of spoilers about the new Star Wars film.

If you would like to support the show please consider leaving us an iTunes review or visiting the Comic Book Outsiders website at www.comicbookoutsiders.co for more information all of the other ways you can support us, plus links to the other podcasts on the network.

This is Bags of Action. The podcast is devoted to action movies, both old and new, but all of them awesome! In the previous episode, Steve gave Pete three flavours of Liam Neeson and he chose Run All Night from 2015. Neither he or Steve has seen the film before so they are both coming to it fresh.

Our next film very soon will be another cinema outing of Creed. So get in touch if you’ve seen it for our February episode.
